NC human resources director leaving
The state’s personnel director, C. Neal Alexander, is leaving for a job with Gardner-Webb University, the governor’s office announced Tuesday.
Alexander has been state human resources director since January 2013. Gov. Pat McCrory hired Alexander after he retired from Duke Energy, where he worked for more than 40 years in human resources.
He will take a position with the private university west of Charlotte, which is his alma-mater.
Paula Woodhouse, deputy director of state human resources, will take over his role on an interim basis.
He lives in Lincolnton.
