New reports show effect of sweetened subsidy for film industry in NC

The North Carolina Department of Revenue issued new and revised reports Wednesday for the past three years that show what supporters of the film program stress: The change led to dramatically increased spending on filming in the state. But the reports also show a similar jump in the cost to taxpayers.
