Wade Avenue motorcycle wreck kills rider from Angier
A motorcyclist killed Sunday night in a crash on Wade Avenue was a 52-year-old Angier man, police said Monday morning.
A police report said William H. Harris Jr., who lived on Edmund Drive, was riding his 2015 Harley-Davidson outbound at about 50 mph when the bike hit the right curb and he was thrown off it.
The crash happened about 9:50 p.m. between Daniels Street and Oberlin Road.
Harris was alone on the motorcycle, the report said.
Wade Avenue was closed for a time while accident investigators worked.
