Head-on crash kills Zebulon man, injures Cary woman

A Zebulon man died and a Cary woman was injured in a head-on crash early Sunday just outside Knightdale, the State Highway Patrol said.

James Brandon Davis, 21, of Zebulon was driving south on Smithfield Road when his car crossed the center line, troopers said.

Davis’ car crashed into one driven by Keyonna Chatmon, 25, of Cary, according to troopers.

Chatmon was taken to WakeMed Raleigh hospital.

The crash happened shortly before 3 a.m., the Highway Patrol said.
