Regarding Michael Jacobs’ Nov. 12 Point of View “ What athletic scandal?”: This is tongue-in-cheek, right? Provost Jim Dean is a peerless administrator, the sort of whom we should have more?

Dean’s behavior has in fact been in simple stonewall, circle-the-wagons, shoot-the-messenger style, and as a condition of continued employment as provost he should be required to go on his hands and knees to apologize to Mary Willingham.
