Stan C. Kimer: LGBT ordinance mainstream not radical
In the April 6 news article “GOP leaders blame Charlotte’s mayor,” Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger and House Speaker Tim Moore called Charlotte’s ordinance “a radical bathroom policy.” Really?
I am a diversity consultant with a specialty in the LGBT workplace and marketplace and know for a fact that a majority of Fortune 500 firms have nondiscrimination policies and transgender restroom policies that mirror Charlotte’s. Radical? I think not.
Actually, Charlotte’s policy is more mainstream and realistic.
