Paige DeSorbo Defends Fan's 'Inappropriate' Masters Outfit

Paige DeSorbo, a podcast host formerly of "Summer House" fame, is weighing in on the "inappropriate" Masters outfit discourse.

A New York City-based influencer has been called out on social media for her outfit worn at The Masters. Abby Baffoe, who has more than one million followers, rocked a vintage Chanel top and skimpy white shorts at Augusta National this year. Some fans, many of them women, called out Baffoe, accusing her of not dressing for the occasion.

The Masters, which has been around for nearly 100 years, is known for its tradition, etiquette and rules. Cellphones are banned on the grounds, for example, and guests are encouraged to dress appropriately.

Photos of Baffoe's complete outfit quickly went viral on social media.

Baffoe's comment section was full of critical comments.

"Honey. Country club attire," one fan wrote.

"Tell me it's your first time at the the Masters without telling me it's your first time at THE MASTERS..😑," one fan added.

"Class is knowing how to dress for the moment, not dressing to be seen," one fan added.

"Just bc it's Chanel doesn't mean is masters approved attire 😭," one fan added.

DeSorbo, 33, who is known for her fashion influencing, weighed in on the controversy this week, during an episode of her "Giggly Squad" podcast.

DeSorbo was annoyed that much of the criticism was coming from fellow women. She also made it clear that she has no real problems with the outfit. DeSorbo added that she thinks no one playing in the tournament had an issue with it.

"I look at her outfit. Now, when I see her outfit, my only critique, maybe, was that it was a little casual," she said.

"Maybe if she put like a white miniskirt on, they would have been less offended."

DeSorbo took issue with a host of women making videos about the controversy, too.

"It just felt so, like, utopian…it's disrespectful to who? The boys? I don't think anyone (cared) who was playing."

Baffoe, to her credit, has stayed confident amid the controversy, even playing into it on social media.

"Won worst dressed masters 2026 🏆," she wrote.

It'll be interesting to see what Baffoe chooses to wear to The Masters next year, if she ends up going again.

Baffoe wasn't the only woman criticized for their outfit at The Masters, either. Brooks Koepka's wife, Jena Sims, also faced scrutiny for her outfit.

Jena Sims responded to The Masters' outfit criticism, too

Sims, who has been married to Koepka since 2022, also faced backlash for what she wore to The Masters this year.

"People are so mad. I am getting braided for my Thursday outfit. I have two things to say," she responded to her critics on her Instagram Stories video.

"I can almost guarantee that no one in my comments section has ever been to the Masters. This is my 10th or 11th year. I can assure you that not a single person out there was upset with two to three inches of my midriff showing."

The Masters does have recommendations for attire, though it doesn't appear to be too strict. Men typically wear shorts or dress pants with polos, while women are often in dresses or miniskirts.

"The most important tip for Masters patron attire is to dress appropriately for the weather and consider wearing light layers, as temperatures in April range from highs of 80°F to lows of 50°F. Plan to wear comfortable, water-resistant shoes without spikes or pointed heels. Golf shoes with metal spikes are not permitted," The Masters states.
