Hickory girls soccer is still unbeaten and is now the No. 118 high school team in the nation

Hickory High School's girls soccer stormed out of a 12-day break with a 5-1 win over Fred T. Foard on Tuesday. Junior Piper Jillings and freshman Emily Bridges scored two goals each.

Jillings leads Hickory with 24 goals and 17 assists this season. Val Bravo has 15 goals and seven assists, while Bridges has 10 goals and 12 assists.

The Red Tornadoes are now 12-0, 10-0 in conference play and have outscored their opponents 81-8 this season.

The Red Tornadoes are now the No. 2 5A team in the state behind Northwest Cabarrus. According to MaxPreps, they are the No. 21 team in North Carolina and the No. 118 high school team in the nation.
