Angel Reese Was Heavily Booed For Mid-Game Celebration vs. Wings

Angel Reese appears to be embracing the villain role in the WNBA.

When the Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings squared off Tuesday night, Reese hit the "too small" celebration after grabbing an offensive rebound and scoring over Odyssey Sims. It didn't take long for the fans in Dallas to let the former No. 7 pick how they feel about her.

As Reese was getting back on defense for Atlanta, she was legitimately showered with boos. She tried to rile up the crowd even more by waving them on. It was a pretty hilarious moment from the LSU product.

Unsurprisingly, WNBA fans had a lot to say about Reese's celebration.

"Why does she act like finally making a basket is something to brag about, embarrassing," one fan said.

"She hit 4 celebrations after one bucket where literally no one boxed out over a 5'3 player in a game she had 10 points," a second fan wrote.

"I love Angel Reese, I don't care what anyone says," another fan commented.

"Respect to Angel for embracing it but woof. This is villain origin story WWE edition," a social media user added.

Angel Reese is off to a nice start.

The Dream traded two first-round picks to the Chicago Sky in exchange for Reese. So far, we'd say they're pleased the return on their investment.

On May 9, Reese had 11 points, 14 rebounds and the game-winning block in her debut for Atlanta. She followed up that performance with 12 points and 16 rebounds in a win over the Wings.

The Dream will take on the Las Vegas Aces in their home opener this Sunday. We'll see if they keep their perfect start to the season alive.
