Clint Bowyer Reveals Hilarious Advice Son Cash Gave Before NASCAR Return at Dover

Kids can be your biggest cheerleaders and your biggest critics. Clint Bowyer knows this well, and was reminded of it ahead of his NASCAR return in the Truck Series race at Dover. Bowyer's son, Cash, gave him hilarious advice that only a son could give to a father.

Clint Bowyer is racing in the No. 25 "Free Agent" Ram 1500 for Kaulig Racing. He last raced in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2024 with Spire Motorsports at Nashville Superspeedway. Now, he returns to the Truck Series to take on the Monster Mile.

During the NASCAR All-Star Race practice session, Bowyer revealed what his son told him on Friday morning. Just don't suck.

"Oh, he's already told me, right off the bat," Bowyer said on FS1. "He came with me last night. We flew up here and got up this morning. Pretty cool, old dad and son, you know. He goes, 'Dad, don't suck today, alright?' I'm like, appreciate that buddy. That's the worst pressure. ... Yeah, I'm already about to throw up, son."

In the past, Clint Bowyer has won in the Truck Series. However, his one experience at Dover in the series was a pretty forgettable one. He was a P34 DNF for Kevin Harvick Inc. So, if you ask Cash, he kinda sucked, right? Joking aside, Bowyer has a really solid record in the Truck Series with three wins and a handful of other top-five finishes in only 15 starts.

Bowyer finished P17 at Nashville in 2024. He still has a little left in the tank. It is easy to forget, but Bowyer is an O'Reilly Auto Parts Series champion, and despite being retired for years at this point, he's only a year older than Denny Hamlin.

Let's see what the old dog has in store for these youngsters in the Truck Series. Will Clint make his son Cash proud or will he get more "advice" after a poor performance tonight?
