Final Injury Report for Sky-Mercury: Will Azura Stevens, DiJonai Carrington Play?

The Chicago Sky are on the road on Friday night as they travel to take on the Phoenix Mercury in an interconference matchup.

Chicago enters Friday's game with a 2-0 record after defeating the Golden State Valkyries on the road on Wednesday night.

In Wednesday's victory over the Valkyries, Rickea Jackson led the way for the Sky as she recorded 18 points, five rebounds and five assists while Skylar Diggins added 15 points, five rebounds and seven assists of her own.

Now Chicago will try to extend their winning streak to three games on Friday as they face off against the Mercury on the road.

On the other side, Phoenix enters Friday's contest with a 1-2 record after losing at home to the Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday night.

Kahleah Copper led the way for the Mercury in Tuesday's loss as she ended the game with 30 points, two assists and two steals while DeWanna Bonner recorded 16 points and seven rebounds.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Friday night's matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Sky, they have three players listed on their injury report, including both Azura Stevens and DiJonai Carrington.

Chicago has ruled out Stevens due to a left knee injury as she will miss her third straight game to begin the season.

The Sky have also ruled out Carrington due to a left foot injury as she will also miss her third consecutive contest.

Courtney Vandersloot has also been ruled out as she remains sidelined while recovering from right knee surgery.

Mercury Injury Report: Will Monique Akoa Makani Play?

On the other side, the Mercury have two players listed on their injury report, including guard Monique Akoa Makani.

Phoenix has ruled out Akoa Makani as she remains away from the team due to an overseas commitment.

The Mercury have also ruled out Sami Whitcomb as she continues to recover from left knee surgery.
