Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark Going In Different Directions Right Now

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark have had very different weekends.

Clark and the Indiana Fever are in a bit of turmoil. The Fever have lost two straight games. Indiana lost to Portland, 100-88, earlier this weekend. Clark had her worst game of the regular season, shooting just 1 of 7 from the field, while totaling only six points and six assists. The Fever dropped to 4-4 on the year.

Meanwhile, amid the struggles, video has surfaced, showing a pretty heated interaction between Clark and her head coach, Stephanie White.

Clark has faced criticism for her "petulant" behavior on the court.

"It's the petulance that is turning people off," Nancy Armour of USA TODAY wrote. "There's at least one instance every game that Clark acts as if she's been shot after pushing off someone else or she drops to the court without ever being touched.

"There's also at least one instance every game of Clark berating a referee over a call she didn't get or one she didn't think she deserved to get. She doesn't even need to be playing to get worked up."

Meanwhile, as Clark and the Fever are struggling, and the criticism is mounting, Reese and the Atlanta Dream are surging.

Reese is trending upward while Clark is trending down

The Dream have improved to 5-2 on the year, while Reese had her best game of the year this weekend.

Reese dropped 18 points and 12 rebounds, while dishing out five assists, while shooting 6 of 7 from the free throw line.

The praise is surging for Reese, too.

Clark, for the most part, has been the more productive player during their two-plus seasons in the league. However, Reese has been playing very well as of late.

It's clear that both Reese and Clark will have a lot to play for moving forward.

WNBA fans would surely drool over a playoff matchup between these two at one point, too. We got a few during their college days and they were nothing short of electric.
