Report: Tiger Woods Prioritizing Vanessa Trump's Health After Completing Rehab Stint

It appears Tiger Woods is changing his priorities for the rest of 2026.

Woods was arrested on suspicion of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after being involved in a rollover accident on March 27. The Martin County Sheriff's Office reported that he had pain pills in his pocket at the scene of the crash. Less than a week later, the 15-time major champion announced that he was going to step away from golf to seek treatment.

"I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery," Woods said in a statement. "I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time."

Woods reportedly traveled to Switzerland to participate in a rehab program. He was supposed to be there for three months, but his stay was cut short due to his girlfriend Vanessa Trump's health situation. She was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.

"Tiger flew back to take care of some things and offer support to his girlfriend Vanessa's health issues as well as to be here for her golfer daughter Kai's high school graduation," an insider told People Magazine. "He is a family oriented guy and nothing has changed."

PEOPLE reported that Woods is focusing on Trump and her recovery process at this time.

"Vanessa's needs and issues have taken Tiger's thoughts outside of his own legal, medical and personal struggles, which has been good for him," an insider told PEOPLE. "He has given her a lot of love - even while away working on himself. It shows he has character."

Of course, Woods is also going to continue to monitor his legal situation. State prosecutors in Florida are hoping to subpoena his medical records in relation to his DUI arrest.

Don't rule out a comeback for Tiger.

PEOPLE reported earlier this month that Woods is "determined" to return to the golf course, albeit we haven't seen him since the 2024 Open Championship.

When Woods first announced that he was going to take time to focus on his health, PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp offered his full support.

"Tiger Woods is one of the most influential figures the sports world has ever known. Over the last year, I have come to deeply appreciate Tiger not only for his impact on the game, but for his friendship and the perspective he has shared with me as I joined the golf industry," Rolapp said. "My thoughts are with him and his family as he takes this step, for which he has my full respect and support."

Do you think we'll see Woods back in the spotlight?
