Hurricanes agree to terms with Brind’Amour, Smith, add video coach Scarpace
The Carolina Hurricanes agreed to contract terms with assistant coaches Rod Brind’Amour and Steve Smith, the organization announced Friday.
The team also hired video coach L.J. Scarpace.
Scarpace will come to Raleigh after 12 years at Michigan, where he was the Wolverines’ video coordinator and director of player development. Longtime video coach Chris Huffine will remain on the Hurricanes’ staff and will work alongside Scarpace for his 18th season.
“The addition of L.J. Scarpace allows our staff even more capabilities on the video side,” general manager Ron Francis said in a press release.
