NC’s Ariana DeBose is the odds-on favorite to win an Oscar. Who else is favored Sunday?

North Carolina native Ariana DeBose has already taken home Golden Globe, SAG, BAFTA and Critics Choice awards for her role as Anita in the new “West Side Story,” making her a favorite to win the Oscar on Sunday.

But how much of a favorite is she?

According to US-Bookies.com, an online betting site, DeBose is the “odds-on favorite” to win in her Best Supporting Actress category, “improving from 1/5 (83.3% implied probability) to 1/14 (93.3%) since nominations were released.”

Here are the odds in the Best Supporting Actress category:

  • Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”): 1/14
  • Kirsten Dunst (“The Power of the Dog”): 6/1
  • Aunjanue Ellis (“King Richard”): 18/1
  • Judi Dench (“Belfast”): 25/1
  • Jessie Buckley (“The Lost Daughter”): 33/1

This is a good time to remind everyone that betting on events such as the Oscars is not legal in North Carolina (or in any state in the U.S.).
