We put together a list of festivals not just in and around the Triangle, but across the state — and many of them are inexpensive or free to attend.

Summer-long NC Summer Festivals, Live Music events

June 2022: NC Summer music festivals

▪ JUNE 18: Juneteenth Jubilee — This free full-day street festival will highlight nationally touring headliners, local musicians and more. On June 19, there will be a ticketed event, the Juneteenth Jubilee Heritage Brunch, which will showcase Black chefs and culinary students serving a Black southern cuisine brunch. ▪ JUNE 24-25: That Music Fest — This two-day, three-stage music festival will take place at Durham Bulls Athletic Park and feature artists local to North Carolina. ▪ JULY 2-3: Ocean City Jazz Festival — This two-day festival is at North Topsail Beach. You can purchase single-day tickets (which start at $75 for adults) or a weekend pass. ▪ AUGUST 25-27: Night in the Country Carolinas Music Festival — This country music festival returns Aug. 25-27 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring. September 2022: NC Summer Festivals
▪ SEPTEMBER 9-11: NC Folk Fest — This three-day, free Greensboro festival isn’t only for folk music lovers. Attendees can enjoy music from hip-hop, Afrobeats, Cajun, funk, country, indie rock artists and more. ▪ SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 1: IBMA Bluegress Live! — The festival will be at Red Hat Amphitheatre and Downtown Raleigh. Single day passes begin at $50.
