A music festival is returning to North Carolina, but it will look different this year.

The Good Moon festival is set to bring concerts to the Triangle for the second year. Instead of having artists hit the stage at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, the 2026 performances will be held at four other locations in downtown Durham.

The news comes from Durham-based electronic-pop band Sylvan Esso and their recording company, called Psychic Hotline.

“This Good Moon is our biggest and fullest yet, featuring so many of our favorite artists,” Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn, the duo that makes up Sylvan Esso, said in a Tuesday, May 12 news release. “It is a joy to bring them to our home in Durham.”

Tickets are going on sale soon for the festival, which is scheduled for October. Here’s what to know about where and when the concerts will be held, who will perform and how to get tickets.

How do I get tickets?

Fans wanting to buy tickets won’t have to wait for long.

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale starting noon Thursday, May 14 and three-day VIP passes go on sale the following day. For more information, visit goodmoonnc.com.

Then, the rest of the seats will be available to the general public starting Friday, May 22. Those tickets will be available for individual nights.

The music festival continues to put the spotlight on Sylvan Esso. The members of the band, who got married in 2016, have been nominated for two Grammy awards and are planning for a sold-out Los Angeles residency in June.

“The combination of her campfire-sing-along voice and his atmospheric, elastic beats comes out as quirky electro-folk — maybe the warmest electronic pop anybody is making nowadays,” The N&O reported in 2018.
