What to Watch on Tuesday: Christmas-themed sitcoms and more NC true crime

Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways (8 p.m., NBC) - Ellen DeGeneres kicks off a new holiday tradition as she presents gifts with the help of special guests Michelle Obama, Jennifer Aniston and Sterling K. Brown.

The Conners - (8 p.m., ABC) - Dan excludes Jackie from the family Christmas photo because she mistreats his friend Louise.

Bless This Mess (8:30 p.m., ABC) - Mike and Rio are excited for their first Christmas alone together as a married couple, but they are interrupted by crisis after crisis.

Homicide City: Charlotte (9 p.m., Investigation Discovery) - After bar manager Harriet Simmons disappears during a 1979 trip to Nashville, Tenn. and Jerri Ann Jones vanishes after she gets off work in 1987, it takes more than two decades for detectives to learn the identity of their common killer.

The Moodys (9 p.m., Fox) - In the finale, Sean Sr. receives the top honor of being the lector of Midnight Mass, with Christmas quickly approaching. Also, when Sean Sr. invites some unexpected guests to Christmas Eve dinner, Ann starts to unravel.

Mixed-ish (9 p.m., ABC) - Alicia and Paul try to maintain their winter solstice traditions from the commune, but their parents want a more traditional Christmas with the kids.

Black-ish (9:30 p.m., ABC) - The family gets into the holiday spirit until someone from Lynette’s past shows up.
