Triangle TV watchers will be seeing two new faces on a local news station in coming weeks.

CBS 17 announced it had hired two new journalists: a weekend morning anchor/weekday reporter and an investigative reporter, the station announced in a news release.

This comes shortly after two anchor/reporters, Joseph Holloway and Hayley Fixler, left the station, The News & Observer previously reported.

Here are the details on the newest CBS 17 journalists.

Baron James hired as anchor/reporter

Baron James is CBS 17’s new weekend morning anchor and weekday reporter. He will anchor the station’s Saturday shows at 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., along with its Sunday program, which runs 6-9 a.m. Meteorologist Dave Downey will join James during the weekend broadcasts.

James, who began at the station Aug. 12, has previously worked as an anchor and reporter in Pittsburgh, Dallas and Miami. He has a degree in journalism and has attended Xavier University and Louisiana Tech University.

Mary Smith hired as investigative reporter

Mary Smith is the new investigative reporter at CBS 17. She previously worked as a reporter in Atlanta, both at the FOX affiliate WAGA and CBS affiliate WGCL (now WANF).

Smith, a graduate of Temple University, has also been a reporter in Ohio, Alabama and West Virginia.

Her first day at CBS 17 is Aug. 26.
