Wedding bells are ringing for Belly and Jeremiah, but will the third and final season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” have a fairy tale ending?

Fans have been tuning in all summer long to the hit series filmed around North Carolina based on the best-selling books by UNC alumna Jenny Han.

In the latest episode, the drama continues around the ever-evolving love triangle between Belly and the Fisher brothers.

Whether you’re Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad, let’s dive in.

A new chapter in a new home

After getting emotional (and financial) support for the wedding from Jeremiah’s dad, Belly went back with him to Boston.

After two weeks of living on an air mattress in their living room, they got the hint that Mr. Fisher was ready for Belly to go. Before going back to Cousins, she and Jeremiah toured apartments near Finch College to officially move in together. This wasn’t an easy search due to Jeremiah’s credit history.

Back to Cousins Beach

Picking up with wedding planning, Belly went to meet their coordinator at the Cousins Beach Country Club — a full circle moment to the space they had their debutante ball in Season 1.

In an unexpected turn of events, she called Jeremiah in the middle of the walk-through to tell him that she’s having second thoughts.

In her words, it’s just not how she pictured it, and “suddenly the ball is rolling and everything is just happening without us.”

But Jeremiah reassured her that it’s their wedding day and that he’s got her. With the help of the country club staff and Mr. Fisher’s secretary, Kayleigh, their “yacht formal attire” plans for the wedding are basically set, Jeremiah told Steven and Denise.

And speaking of Steven and Denise… the two are much closer after they ended up at the same gaming conference in the last episode. She even pitched the idea of them starting their own company before he went back home to Belly’s bridal shower.

Yes, the bridal shower that everyone but the bride seemed to be excited about — because she didn’t have her mother’s support.

But thanks to Conrad’s convincing, Laurel actually ended up going.

A future Fisher

Hosted at Taylor’s house with bright pink balloons, banners and a bunch of their college and childhood friends, it was an emotional moment when she realized her mother came to celebrate.

While the girls and Steven were celebrating Belly, the Fisher boys were out suit shopping with their dad. He finally admitted that he’d been seeing Kayleigh, which was only a short time after Jeremiah secretly saw them flirting in the office.

As for Conrad, he was aware that he had cheated on their mom, Susannah. Keeping up with confessions, Conrad admitted over lunch that he was fired from his clinic job, which his dad and Jeremiah surprisingly didn’t say much about.

For the Taylor fans hoping for a reconnection between Belly’s brother and best friend at the bridal shower, the two did spend time teasing and joking with one another. However, Steven later told Taylor he just wanted to be friends.

After having a better time than expected, Belly was hit with more memories and mixed feelings about the Fisher brothers — especially after she confused the two in a memory about their childhood dog, Rosie. She also even thought about how, as a little girl, she’d sing “Bye Bye Birdie” songs as if it were the boy of her “preteen dreams,” Conrad Fisher, instead of Conrad Birdie.

“I loved him in a way that you can only really do the first time around. Completely, with every bit of your being without even leaving anything for yourself,” she thought. “But that’s the past. Jeremiah, he’s my future.”

But that was a little hard to believe when Belly was back at Cousins Beach and she almost kissed Conrad after helping him bandage a cut from surfing.

“What just happened? What did I almost do? This time wasn’t like with the peaches. This time it was all me,” she thought.
