Here’s what’s on TV tonight:

House of Chains (8 p.m., Lifetime)

Lifetime is back with some “ripped from the headlines” movies this month, including this one about a seemingly normal suburban couple whose efforts to keep their children separated from the outside world escalate into abuse, neglect and imprisonment. Eventually, the older children plan a risky escape to save their younger siblings and themselves from further abuse.

It stars Mena Suvari and Greyston Holt as the parents, Laura and Tye.

This appears to be based on the true story of David and Louise Turpin, a California couple who tortured, starved and beat 12 of their 13 children, until January 2018, when one of the girls escaped the home by jumping from the window of a room where the children had been kept prisoner. She called 911 and alerted police to what was going on inside the home. A year later, the parents were sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Marry Go Round (8 p.m., Hallmark)

In this new movie, a successful executive is planning to move to Paris to marry her boyfriend. Then she learns that her divorce to her high school sweetheart is not official. It stars Amanda Schull and Brennan Elliott.

Some programming descriptions are provided by networks.
