What to Watch Friday: Loretta Lynn tributes + a ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ re-watch

‘CMT Remembers: Loretta Lynn’ (8 p.m., CMT)
CMT airs a 30-minute tribute to Loretta Lynn, the Queen of Country Music, who died this week at the age of 90.
‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ (8:30 p.m., CMT)
What better way to remember Loretta Lynn than with this 1980 biopic about her life starring Sissy Spacek, who won an Oscar for the role. Tommy Lee Jones played Lynn’s husband, Doolittle.
‘Loretta Lynn — Still A Mountain Girl’ (9 p.m., PBS)
We get a repeat showing of this great “American Masters” documentary from 2016, which traced the life of singer-songwriter Loretta Lynn and showed how she balanced family with a music career that spanned more than 60 years.
‘Dateline NBC’ (9 p.m., NBC)
“Dateline” looks at the death of Nevada attorney Susan Winters. Her death was originally ruled a suicide but her family fought for seven years to have the case reexamined, and someone was eventually charged with her murder. Josh Mankiewicz interviews Susan’s parents Danny and Avis Winters, and criminal defense attorney Tony Sgro.
‘20/20: The Barefoot Witness’ (9 p.m., ABC)
We hear the story of beloved mother and teacher Lyntell Washington, murdered in 2016 in Louisiana. Her three-year-old daughter was a witness to the crime and helped lead police to the killer. Tonight’s episode examines Washington’s legacy and how her family has coped after tragedy.
‘Fire Country’ (9 p.m., CBS)
This new series follows a young convict who joins an unconventional prison release firefighting program in Northern California, which partners inmates with elite firefighters.
