A Durham dining spot has closed its doors for good.

Nearly three years after opening, Urban Noodle permanently shut down over the holiday weekend.

“With heavy hearts, we’re saying goodbye. This year has been very hard, and despite trying our best to keep going, we can no longer stay open. This definitely wasn’t an easy decision,” the team announced on social media. “Thank you to our customers, our community, and everyone who supported Urban Noodle along the way. We’ll always be grateful.”

The local restaurant, nestled near Bruegger’s Bagels and Wayback Burgers, opened in south Durham in February 2023.

Since then, the new concept has been a popular spot for steamy bowls of ramen, noodle dishes and other authentic Asian dishes that you could see prepared from the dining room.

“We are deeply saddened to say goodbye. Thank you for all your support. We will miss you Durham,” the team’s post of the closure states.
