An East Coast chain known for burgers and Nashville hot chicken is opening its first North Carolina restaurant in Raleigh.
Nash & Smashed, which has more than 20 locations across four states and Washington, D.C., will open in Northeast Raleigh near Triangle Town Center.
The restaurant is moving into a former Fat Tuesday at Poyner Village, according to a news release from real estate firm TradeMark Properties.
The 1,575-square-foot space will be renovated into “a fully operational restaurant,” and a new kitchen hood will be installed.
It has signed a 10-year lease at the shopping center, which is anchored by retailers such as Target, Old Navy, World Market and Michaels.
Franchisee Hasham Malik said in the news release the Raleigh location is one of “many” Nash & Smashed restaurants planned for North Carolina.
“Our menu is crafted to offer something for the entire family, and we’re excited to welcome guests to enjoy both our indoor and outdoor seating areas,” Malik said. “We look forward to celebrating our grand opening soon.”
An opening date will been announced when construction, which is currently underway, is completed.
