Apex Outfitters is ready to toast its opening in downtown Raleigh
The new Apex Outfitters store will open in downtown Raleigh on Friday, the second location for the Apex-based company.
Apex Outfitters, started by N.C. State alums Kyle and Megan Denis in 2012, specializes in adventure gear and apparel, but the Raleigh location will focus on apparel. They carry brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Vans, Sorel, Prana, Olukai and Birkenstock. The store also has its own private label, Summit and Sea.
You’ll find Apex Outfitters at 23 W. Hargett St., at the corner of Hargett and Salisbury, in the spot formerly occupied by DECO Raleigh. DECO moved around the corner to 207 S. Salisbury St. earlier this summer.
There’s a grand opening ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m. Friday, with locally sourced wine and beer from Trophy Brewing. Music by local band Oak City Slums starts at 6:30 p.m.
The store hours will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
