A new Trader Joe’s location opens soon in North Raleigh.

This will be the California-based grocer’s second store in the City of Oaks, joining an existing outpost in the Midtown area. Trader Joe’s also has locations in Cary, Morrisville and Chapel Hill.

More than 50 new crew members and about 20 transfers from nearby Trader Joe’s stores will staff the new location.

Here’s what we know about the store.

When and where will the new Trader Joe’s open?

Trader Joe’s will open its new store, located at 8111 Creedmoor Road in a 10,000-square-foot space in the Brennan Station shopping center, at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15.

Regular store hours will be 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

O2 Fitness formerly occupied the space Trader Joe’s is taking.

Brennan Station is at the corner of Creedmoor Road and Brennan Drive. Elsewhere in the shopping center, visitors will find businesses such as Margaux’s Restaurant, Brigs, Town & Country Hardware, Five Guys and Dollar Tree.

What is Trader Joe’s known for?

Founded in Pasadena, California, in 1967, Trader Joe’s operates more than 565 stores across 42 states and Washington, D.C.

Last year, Forbes named Trader Joe’s the best employer in the state of North Carolina.

It doesn’t carry many name-brand items, instead stocking a variety of fresh, frozen and shelf-stable products under the Trader Joe’s label.

Some of the goods have cult followings and others, such as the $2.99 mini tote bags, go viral.

The store doesn’t offer a loyalty program or discounts. Every shopper pays the same price.
