Restaurants & salons among 11 new stores at this Triangle shopping center with a Publix
A new, 80-acre mixed-use development in northeast Wake County recently announced 11 new retailers, including restaurants and service-oriented businesses.
Anchored by a Publix grocery store, Wallbrook will include retail, restaurants, medical and professional offices and 140 townhomes. There’s room for a taproom or brewery, too, along with green space.
New developments in Rolesville, including Wallbrook and Cobblestone Village, follow an increase in the town’s population in recent years. Between 2010 and 2020, the population more than doubled from 3,786 in 2010 to 9,475 in 2020, U.S. Census data shows.
The first set of retail tenants at Wallbrook are expected to open in mid-2025, according to a news release. Wallbrook, located off South Main Street near Jonesville Road, is being developed as a joint venture between Crosland Southeast, the firm behind Latta Park in Durham, and Core Sound Development. The latter firm was formed in 2024 and is working on six projects in the Southeast, including mixed-use, multifamily, grocery-anchored and storage value-add projects.

Fifth Third Bank has also signed a ground lease for one of two outparcels available in the first phase of the project, according to the news release.
Negotiations with additional tenants are ongoing, and the developers are interviewing restaurant concepts to fill the two remaining endcap dining options.
“This progress reflects our commitment to making this development a vibrant destination in the heart of Rolesville,” Austin Williams, a partner at Crosland Southeast, said in the news release.
Pre-leasing for a second phase of retail space along Main Street is expected to begin in the spring.
