This will be Durham’s second Publix store, joining a location at 1065 Yunus Road, in the Marketplace at Ellis Crossing development. Publix has about a dozen other stores in the Triangle, across Raleigh, Rolesville, Cary, Wendell, Apex, Wake Forest and Clayton.
Harris Teeter and Food Lion have stores within a few miles of the Latta Park Publix.

At Latta Park, Publix will join businesses including a forthcoming Chipotle, leasing documents show. Developer Crosland Southeast is behind the master planning and rezoning for the 30-acre Latta Park project, and is building and owns the commercial component.
Tri Pointe Homes is building The Grove at Latta Park, a neighborhood of about 176 two- and three-story townhomes within walking distance of the grocery store. The homes are still under construction and are expected to come online around late summer or early fall, a new home specialist at Tri Pointe Homes told The News & Observer by phone.
Construction crews started clearing the property in the fall of 2024.
