Inside look: See photos of what ‘Lenovo Center 2.0’ will look like
Big changes are on the way for the Lenovo Center.
Meet “Lenovo Center 2.0.” The Centennial Authority, the arena landlord, in conjunction with the Carolina Hurricanes and N.C. State, is considering $300 million of major enhancements in its “Lenovo Center 2.0” plan.
They include:
- A “refresh” of the arena exterior, with an expanded lobby area and new entrances on the east and west sides of the arena.
- A beer hall on the south side of the arena on the plaza facing Carter-Finley Stadium that will be 6,000 square feet and will have an adjacent 1,400-square-foot South Terrace.
- A new team store that will be roughly three times the size of “The Eye” now at the arena and will sell Hurricanes and N.C. State merchandise.
- Added seating capacity to the lower bowl with the reduction of aisles, and all new seating.
- A new Arena Club that will combine the space of the Ledge Lounge now on the PNC Club Level.
Already opened is the View Bar on the third level, the private “bunker” suites, a multi-purpose meeting room and added storage areas. Other work will begin soon after the Hurricanes conclude the 2025-26 season.
Here are renderings of the planned renovations.
