A new private club is coming to the Triangle — and it promises to be a haven for golf lovers.
Intown Golf Club is set to open this summer in Raleigh. So far, more than 200 people have signed up to be members of the golf-focused destination, where they will be able to practice their swings indoors over food and drinks, a spokesperson told The News & Observer via email on Thursday, May 14.
Here’s what to know about Intown Golf Club, including where the Raleigh location is expected to open and what it hopes to offer members.
Where and when is the club opening?
Intown Golf Club plans to open in a 13,000-square-foot space at 541 Church at North Hills St., Suite 200. The venue is in the North Hills Innovation District, located off Interstate 440 and near popular stores in Midtown Raleigh, The N&O previously reported.
And we now have a better idea of when the social club could welcome members and their guests into its doors.
“We’re currently on track with our construction process and are targeting a late summer 2026 opening,” the spokesperson wrote.
Intown Golf Club, which has roots in Atlanta, currently runs six U.S. locations.
“We had so many friends and members encourage us to look at Raleigh for another location, which really planted the idea,” Michael Williamson, co-founder and CEO of Intown Golf Club, said in a 2025 release. “It’s not a surprise that we’re drawn to parts of the country that have a strong golf community — and that region, in particular — with the connections to Pinehurst, Donald Ross, and the USGA Hall of Fame — is right up there as the best.”
What will the Raleigh club offer?
Intown Golf Club on its website said the Raleigh location has eight Trackman golf simulator bays designed to help members perfect their shots and “get in a quick 18 holes… no matter the weather or the time of day (or night).” Here’s what else to expect at the venue:
- Restaurant and cocktail lounge
- Bag storage and locker rooms
- Lessons and club fitting
- Merchandise
- Great room and outdoor patio
“Our club membership is often built organically, through friendships, people that have visited other locations, etc,” the spokesperson wrote. “But individuals can also inquire about membership through the membership page of our website.”
How much does the club cost?
A spokesperson wouldn’t reveal the costs of joining the Raleigh club to The N&O. The only other North Carolina club is the one in Charlotte, which offered initiation fees starting at $3,000 and monthly dues starting at $150 before it was slated to launch in 2023, The Charlotte Observer reported.
“Unlike traditional country clubs — often cost-prohibitive and located far from city centers — Intown Golf Club is designed to be accessible, urban, and inclusive, built around a pricing model that fosters a diverse membership,” the company wrote in a 2025 news release.
