Cary police identify motorcyclist killed in crash on US 1
A 38-year-old motorcyclist died Tuesday morning when his bike collided with a pickup truck in slow traffic, police said.
The rider, Daniel Raines, crashed on U.S. 1 near the Tryon Road exit at about 9:30 a.m., police said.
Traffic slowed down ahead of the motorcyclist, who was unable to stop in time. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
