Canes ticket prices soar for first Stanley Cup Final in 20 years. How much?
Being there for hockey history comes with a hefty price.
Tickets to the Stanley Cup Final between the Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights went on sale Saturday and fans found steep prices for the opportunity to watch the Canes in the first Cup Final in 20 years.
Games 1 and 2 are at Lenovo Center in Raleigh on June 2 and June 4. If necessary, the Canes will host Game 5 on June 11, and Game 7 on June 17. All games start at 8 p.m.
As of Sunday, the only standard admission tickets for Games 1 and 2 are in the Club Level seats, starting at $2,173. Tickets for possible Games 5 and 7 are entirely sold out from the Canes box office.
Season ticket members had access to an online presale at noon Saturday, the Canes said, followed three hours later with sales to the general public. Almost immediately , some tickets started hitting the resale market.
On third party ticket sites, the cheapest single get-in ticket for Game 1 was $965 on Stub Hub as of Sunday morning for a seat in the upper 300 level.
The most expensive ticket on Stub Hub for Game 1 is a seat on the glass for $14,163.
Looking ahead to a potential Game 7, the stakes and prices are even higher.
The get-in price for Game 7 on the Canes official resale site is $1,630 and $2,112 on Stub Hub. The most expensive seat is more than $18,000.
How much is parking at the Lenovo Center?
Parking at Lenovo Center lots, which has also steadily risen in cost as the playoffs have advanced, will cost $65 if you prepay, and $95 on site, according to Lenovo Center.
Watch parties
If you didn’t score tickets to Games 1 or 2, watch parties will be held in Moore Square, starting at 7 p.m. and organized by the city of Raleigh and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. A pre-game show begins at 7:30 p.m. Beer, wine and food will be available for purchase.
The Carolina Hurricanes announced Sunday that watch parties will be held at the arena for every away game of the Stanley Cup Final. Details will be announced in the coming days.
For the road games, the official Cane watch parties are at the Carolina Ale House in Cary, at 2240 Walnut St.
