Man found fatally shot near Holloway Street in Durham, police report
Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting Thursday after finding a wounded man near the intersection of Holloway and Raynor streets.
Officers were flagged down shortly after 8:30 a.m. and responded to reports that a man had been shot nearby, police said in a news release.
They found the wounded man in a parking lot. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
Police did not release the dead man’s name or other details.
This is Durham’s third homicide of the year, police records show. As of Feb. 15, the city had two homicides compared with six by the same time in 2019.
