One dead, one charged with murder after woman fatally shot in Raleigh
Raleigh police have charged a man with murder after a woman died in a northeast Raleigh shooting on Tuesday.
Officers responded to the shooting in the 5100 block of North New Hope Road at 11:28 a.m. in the Lexington on the Green apartment complex near Louisburg Road.
They found a woman, whose name has not been released, with serious gunshot injuries and announced hours later that she had died.
Tuesday night, police said Pacheco Bautista Valentin, 33, has been charged with murder.
Police have not provided details about the shooting or a possible motive.
The apartments are just behind the Mini City Shopping Center on Capital Boulevard, reported ABC11, The News & Observer’s news-gathering partner.
