  • Two counts of larceny of a firearm
  • One count of larceny of a motor vehicle
  • 15 counts of conspiracy

The alleged break-ins occurred at five locations in Durham between the evening hours of Nov. 13 and the early morning hours of Nov. 14, the release said. Those locations include:

  • The 20 block of Providence Court
  • The 1800 block of N.C. 54
  • The 1900 block of Westpark Drive

Investigators are seeking secure custody orders for the teens, according to the release.

“Durham Police investigators are continuing to investigate several other cases of motor vehicle break-ins and thefts that have occurred throughout the city,” the release said. “Our investigators are working closely with surrounding agencies in the Triangle to file charges against those who are responsible for these incidents.”

Police are asking residents to remember to secure their vehicles, park in well-lit areas and remove any spare car keys, valuables and firearms. Suspicious activity should be reported to 911, the release said.
