Man killed in overnight shooting in East Durham
Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death Wednesday night in East Durham.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. on South Benjamine Street, the Police Department said in a news release.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 300 block. The man, whose name has not been released yet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This is an ongoing investigation and appears to be an isolated incident,” the release stated.
The homicide comes as shootings are down in Durham this year.
