Durham police are asking for the public’s help in finding two Durham women who are persons of interest in a suspicious death, according to a news release Thursday.
Cindy Julibeth Ulloa Martinez, 34, and Taly Maria Colman Trochez, 28, are wanted in connection with a theft and the death of Mardin Varela Chirinos, 34, of Durham, police said.
Chirinos was found dead “under suspicious circumstances” in the 300 block of South LaSalle Street near Duke University Hospital on Sept. 30, 2025, according to the release. An investigation identified Martinez and Trochez as potentially being involved, the release said.
Anyone who sees Martinez or Trochez should call 911, police said. Images of a blue Chevy hatchback with Georgia plates were also attached to the release. Georgia court records show Trochez previously lived in Chatham County, Georgia, under the name Taly Colman.
