A woman spent $5 on a lottery game in Idaho, then won a big prize.

Chelsey Reeder stopped at a Jacksons Food Stores in Meridian and bought a Triple 7s, the Idaho Lottery told McClatchy News by email Jan. 9.

Reeder scratched her ticket, and it revealed she had won the game’s top prize of $77,777.

She claimed the money on Jan. 3, lottery officials said.

“Way to start the year with a bang, Chelsey!” Idaho Lottery said in a Facebook post.

To play Triple 7s, a lottery player has to match numbers to the winning numbers.

“Reveal a ‘7’ symbol, win the prize shown for that symbol. Reveal a ‘77’ symbol, win DOUBLE the prize shown for that symbol. Reveal a ‘777’ symbol, win TRIPLE the prize shown for that symbol,” according to the Idaho Lottery.

Meridian is about a 10-mile drive west of Boise.
