Gambler turns $50 bet into big slot machine jackpot at Connecticut casino

A lucky gambler turned a $50 bet into a massive jackpot prize at a Connecticut casino.

The visitor sat at a Whitney Houston slot machine Sept. 6 at Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Sky in Uncasville, the casino said in a news release.

The Connecticut resident made a $50 bet, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared.

The player won $659,570.73.

But that wasn’t the only win at Mohegan Sun.

Another gambler went to the Casino of the Earth and hit the $669,412 jackpot at a Blackjack table.

The two casinos are on the same Mohegan Sun property.

Uncasville is about a 45-mile drive southeast from Hartford.
