A poker player walked away from a Las Vegas casino with a big jackpot prize.

The lucky gambler sat at a Pai Gow poker table at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, the casino said in a Sept. 19 Facebook post.

The visitor ended up with a seven-card straight flush, winning the $224,789 jackpot. The player also won a bonus bet of $6,000.

The player’s winning cards were a 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen and a joker acting as a king — all in clubs.

A straight flush is one of the rarest hands in the game, after a royal flush, according to Upswing Poker.

To get a straight flush, a player needs to get cards in consecutive order and in the same suit.

People commented on the Facebook post congratulating the winner.

“Huge congrats to our winner! Wishing you all the best,” one person wrote.

“Congratulations! What a win!!” another person said.

“This is amazing! Congratulations!” someone else wrote.

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is about a 10-mile drive south from the Las Vegas Strip.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
