State of the State: How to watch Gov. Cooper’s speech and Lt. Gov. Robinson’s response

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper will give his once-every-two-years State of the State speech on Monday evening before a joint session of the General Assembly.

Cooper, a Democrat, is set to start speaking at 7:01 p.m. in the House chamber of the Legislative Building on Jones Street in downtown Raleigh. His speech will last about 40 minutes.

PBS North Carolina will livestream the speech, and afterward air the recorded Republican response by Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson. This will be Cooper’s fourth State of the State address.
