Cary Town Council Election 2023

Cary residents will elect a mayor and new town council members this year. Nine candidates are on the ballot. Early voting for the town began Thursday, Sept. 21, and runs through Saturday, Oct. 7. Election Day is set for Tuesday, Oct. 10. Here is information about candidates and the election.

Filing to run in this fall’s local elections within Wake County has ended.

Filing began noon July 7 and ran through noon July 21 for most of the county’s towns and cities.

Important election dates: Most of Wake County’s municipal elections are set for Nov. 7, 2023. The town of Cary’s election is Oct. 10.

The city of Raleigh used to hold its city council elections in odd years, but they are now held in even-numbered years.

Here’s a look at who is running.
