Tell us why you’re running to serve Fuquay-Varina. Why should voters trust you in this position?

I deeply value our community and believe in giving back to the nation that has offered me so much as an immigrant from Egypt. My experiences as a family man, a cybersecurity analyst with a master’s degree, and previous leadership roles equip me to serve with a fresh perspective. I’m dedicated to preserving our town’s values, supporting law enforcement, and promoting economic and infrastructure development.

Residents can trust me to bring integrity, new ideas and a strong commitment to local government. I’m here to work hard, listen to their concerns, and be their voice in shaping a better future for Fuquay-Varina.

What is the town of Fuquay-Varina doing right to manage growth? What could be improved?

Fuquay-Varina has shown a commitment to managing growth by emphasizing responsible fiscal policies. The town’s focus on maintaining a low tax burden and limited government intervention has allowed for economic development and job creation. This approach ensures that businesses can thrive and residents can enjoy affordability.

While these measures are commendable, there’s room for improvement. To enhance growth management, the town can continue its emphasis on lower taxes and fewer regulations to attract more businesses. Moreover, an unwavering commitment to safety and law enforcement is essential as the community expands. Ultimately, embracing conservative values, such as limited government and self-reliance, is a robust strategy to manage growth effectively while preserving our cherished way of life.

If elected, how would you approach an existing or new issue differently from your fellow council members?

If elected, my approach to addressing issues would be rooted in a balanced perspective. While I value the insights of fellow council members, I bring a unique blend of experiences as an immigrant, a family man and a professional in cybersecurity. This diversity equips me with a broad lens to view and solve challenges.

For instance, in matters of community safety, I would emphasize supporting our law enforcement while also promoting community engagement to bridge any gaps. Additionally, my commitment to economic growth involves advocating for lower taxes and fewer regulations to stimulate small businesses, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. My background in technology also allows me to approach issues with a data-driven, problem-solving mindset. Ultimately, my aim is to bring fresh perspectives and practical solutions to the council, prioritizing the well-being and prosperity of Fuquay-Varina’s residents.

How do you plan to make local government in Fuquay-Varina more inclusive and equitable for all residents in the town who feel their voices are underrepresented?

I believe in making local government in Fuquay-Varina more inclusive and equitable by prioritizing community engagement and representation. To address underrepresentation, I would actively seek out the voices and concerns of those who might feel marginalized. This involves creating platforms for open dialogue, conducting town hall meetings, and embracing different perspectives in decision-making.

Furthermore, I’d support initiatives to ensure that policies are fair and accessible to all residents. Collaborating with local community organizations, nonprofits, and businesses to address specific needs is essential. My goal is to foster a sense of unity and belonging for every resident, regardless of background or affiliation, and to ensure that their voices are heard and respected in shaping the future of our town.
