What would be your top priority if elected?

Education reform, mental health improvements, public safety are all important for our district.

By percentage, what raises should state employees, school staff and teachers receive in the next state budget?

Giving a percentage without seeing the budget is like giving an auto repair estimate without seeing the car damage. However, I do support continuing to increase school staff and teachers’ pay based on positive results.

What legislation would you support to improve Triangle transportation, housing or infrastructure? Please be specific.

Without seeing the legislation, It is hard to be specific as requested but I support any improvements for the Triangle that involve improving the infrastructure, allow for affordable housing and would support commonsense transportation initiatives that do not include wasteful spending or are poorly thought out.

Do you think the legislature should fund about $500 million for private school vouchers through the Opportunity Scholarship program? Why or why not?

All families should have the opportunity to send their children to whichever school best suits their child’s needs. We all pay taxes and should have a say in our child’s education

Is there an issue on which you disagree with your party? What is your position on that issue?

Every party will have internal differing of opinions. No political party is a Goldilocks situation and as adults, we should be able to work through differences to make our state better for everyone.
