What would be your top priority if elected?
Improving academic performance.
What specific strategies would you promote to improve academic achievement for Wake County students?
Review and replace under-performing curricula; bring back paper textbooks and whiteboards.
How should Wake County respond to the Biden administration’s new Title IX rules involving transgender students?
The changes should not be implemented. They put girls and young women in physical danger and in a noncompetitive position in sports.
Do you think the legislature should fund about $500 million for private school vouchers through the Opportunity Scholarship program? Why or why not?
Yes. Opportunity Scholarships give students alternatives to schools that may not be working for them, and the funding has taken nothing from public school budgets.
What is your view on installing weapons detectors at every school as a security measure?
I think weapons detectors are an excellent common-sense measure.
