West Jefferson, a tourism enclave northeast of Boone, is among the Western North Carolina towns beckoning visitors to return in the wake of Hurricane Helene.

“After Hurricane Helene, our small town is bouncing back, and one of the best ways to help is by supporting the local businesses that make this place so special!,” Visit West Jefferson posted on Instagram.

“Whether it’s grabbing a gift card for a friend, stopping in for a coffee/meal, or picking up something from your favorite boutique, every little bit helps our neighbors rebuild. Let’s show our love for the people and places that make West Jefferson home,” the post said.
