A pedestrian was seriously injured in a Friday night crash on Capital Boulevard

A crash on Capital Boulevard left a pedestrian seriously injured Friday night.

The crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. close to New Hope Road just past Capital Boulevard’s intersection with Spring Forest Road. The crash left the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, The News & Observer’s media partner ABC11 reported.

It occurred in the middle lane of Capital Boulevard. One driver successfully swerved to the right to avoid the pedestrian. The second driver, who hit the pedestrian, said she tried to swerve too, according to the wreck report.

She hit the pedestrian with the front left corner of her car.

The pedestrian was taken to WakeMed for his injuries.

The incident is still being investigated. No charges have been filed so far.
