Fred Norman: GOP mainstream

The April 28 letter “Call them extreme” noted that recent legislation making unpopular tax law was passed by “extremists” who have hijacked the Republican Party and gained power. The writer seemed to indicate it is not the responsibility of the Republican Party.

I would like to point out to the letter-writer that every one of these “extremists” has been elected by the Republican electorate. How can they not be true Republicans? The Republican Party is supporting their principles, so obviously they own it. Don’t try to get out of it.
