The newest NC State football transfer will feel right at home in Raleigh. Here’s why
N.C. State football’s wide receiver room got stronger Thursday after Raleigh-area native and former Ohio State pass-catcher Noah Rogers committed to the Wolfpack via the transfer portal.
Rogers, from Rolesville, entered the transfer portal on New Years Day and committed to the Wolfpack three days later. The freshman appeared in just two games for the Buckeyes, facing Western Kentucky and Michigan State.
He was a four-star recruit and listed as the No. 1-ranked player in North Carolina during his senior year. 247 Sports listed Rogers as the No. 44 overall recruit in the nation.
Rogers finished his high school career at Rolesville High School with more than 3,200 receiving yards and 37 touchdown receptions in his junior and senior years.
The sophomore joins several incoming transfers on the offensive side of the ball, including quarterback Grayson McCall (Coastal Carolina), running back Jordan Waters (Duke) and receiver Wesley Grimes (Wake Forest). Rogers also joins returners Kevin “KC” Concepcion, Julian Gray and Keyon Lesane.
