North Carolina’s basketball team is down a player after sophomore Zayden High left the program, according to news release from the university.

High participated in summer practices but is not enrolled at UNC, according to the news release. No additional details were provided.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, played in 23 games last season. He contributed 18 points and 26 rebounds. He went 2 of 2 from the free-throw line in the ACC Tournament against Florida State, scoring a season-high four points in the Tar Heels’ victory.

High is the sixth scholarship player no longer with the program from last season.

The Tar Heels lost Armando Bacot, Cormac Ryan and Paxson Wojcik to graduation. Harrison Ingram entered the NBA Draft. And James Okonkwo transferred to Akron.

The departures led to the offseason being filled with efforts to replace the holes in the roster.
